Popular Post daveyc123 Posted February 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 5, 2024 Thank you so much to everybody that came. It was great to see some progress and just really nice seeing everybody have a good time. I really appreciate it. I will get a new battery this week, was there anything else that needs to be done? I will try and source the corner Cover things for the rear window. Once again thank you everyone 11 Quote
MightyJoe Posted February 5, 2024 Author Posted February 5, 2024 I think once there's a battery, secure that, fresh fuel, check the lights, quick blast up the road to clean off the brakes/ listen and feel for anything weird and send it for a wof. Then if it fails, we'll get into that list, but tbh I can't see it failing on much. 1 Quote
RUNAMUCK Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Im not gonna lie. I had absolutely no idea about your personal situation prior to the day. (I just figured you must not be very good at working on cars) total progress was definately the sum of many parts. But it felt bloody good to help out. Im fuckng stoked to have been able to help out on this. 2 Quote

h4nd Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Also install the thermostat fan control or similar (is manual at the mo). Cover for the starter relay terminals, or rubber boots. To avoid shorts when placing the battery holder rods. 1 1 Quote

(Ive secured them with baby cable ties before to hold them in place due to their oversized-ness 2 Quote

I posted in the depression thread a while ago and Joe initiated the process of getting people together and helping me out. So almost 2 years ago I broke my C4 and C5 vertebrae diving into shallow water. Not the smartest thing I've ever done and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm still trying to figure things out but seeing some progress on the car is absolutely huge for me. 10 Quote
