They have this weird overcomplicated thermostat and a common problem is for the moulded rubber bit to come adrift, effectively meaning the thermostat is always passing. Look at the shape of the lower intake and the angle of the plastic. It's quite possible there is bent alloy behind it. Please don't become an insurance assessor, igor...
