Adoom
http://www.permanentpaintedcoatings.co.nz/por15/wellington.aspxI used to work at Road and Track years ago, pretty sure the retail price is set by ppc, so all the official distributors would have the same price. Spencer
I would look at using something else mate, POR isn't worth the money. Details of what you are looking at doing?

LS 2 THE DEEE
Like Spencer said...there are much better ways to deal with rust. Just do it properly once or it will keep showing it's super ugly mug
crownin round
if you do use por15 clean the area really well with something like oxalic acid or vinegar of the white variety used it in our farm truck to clean up under the passenger and drivers feet and the drivers sides still intact but the passenger sides rusted through where we didnt clean it properly. ps theres a leak on the drivers side too so it works well if you do it right not so much if not
danger
I use POR15 when I dont have any fucks to give, its ok, makes a good barrier as long as you get any flakiness off so it doesn't create a bubble. Do it all at once though cause it goes off in the can pretty quick
Seedy Al
Any one have any recommendations then for doing cross members are suspension arms etc? Or are we just going to say poor fifteen is still the best for this type of crap?
Spencer
For the price its shit, epoxy primer and a cheap 2k black urethane is what I use.
Rookie
Do you scotch the primer before the black Spence?
Spencer
Depends on your paint system. Most epoxy primers will have a re-coatable window where they are still active and will take a top coat without sanding. My one is 48 hours, so within 48 hours you can bang top coats on without sanding. I just did a engine bay like this.

Bling
2K might be considered better (opinions opinions), but not easier for everyone. POR15 you can grab a tin, some good safety gear and brush away, job done. 2K you need to source all the materials (at trade for there to be a saving I imagine) and have the compressor and gun already. Just another opinion. With epoxy primer can you paint over surface rust no probs?
