10Speed Posted November 29, 2016 Author Posted November 29, 2016 https://vwparts.aircooled.net/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=401498 these were the cheapest 0 offset I could find, but you can't use them with drop spindles 1 Quote

azzurro Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Proper job man. Looks like some of the whale blubber oil has leaked or mummified and some water got in. Take it apart clean it out and put a modern oil/grease of the correct viscosity back in with a new gasket. Then forget about it for another 50 years Quote
63Ragtop Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Cheers mate, after a good Google I think it should have 90 weight gear oil in it, as grease can be pushed around and leave gaps. problem is this will just leave out again, one idea is to mix similar oil and grease and hopefully it'll stay inside. 10Speed Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Amazing!!! btw CSP have a bracket to mount the brake res. inside the boot https://www.coolairvw.co.uk/Image/0/0/JPG/CSP601021.jpeg 2 Quote
63Ragtop Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Nah, I don't want to be looking at that ugly thing every time I open the hood, this is a custom(empi) res that plug straight into the master, so no more leaky hoses and mess, hopefully. cheers though! 1 Quote
