ryanfels
very far away to be honest, check the project thread for pictures. Is that picture with the jack or axle stands under the diff or is the diff hanging by itself? It looks like its hanging so get a picture of it with the jack under the diff head
Vintage Grumble
You can clearly see where the bump stop had been hitting the spring plate, so it has been bottoming out, you really do need to cut the bump stops down a bit. Also, if you cant make up your mind over TRD and BC, price them up, that will make your mind up pretty quickly.
Snoozin
I think the solution is to let me take it for a hoon around a track and I shall provide an expert analysis for you

danger
bout as much difference as an LV/TRD logo would

felixx
LingLing I have an Omer Master America Speargun, that doesnt make me as good a spearfisherman as UJ. Just because it has TRD shocks (altho they may be fucked going by your comments about handling), it doesnt make your car a ferarri (or some toyota supercar). For most of us, most of the time the 10% 'improvement' by the LABELLED parts will not be noticed. my wallet came from the op shop. I bet it holds my cards and cash as well as a LV one, infact it will have an extra $300 to start with. Please enjoy the car for what it is. LingLing
yep,i think the racing one is adjustables, and looks like there is a key slot there to adjust it. like this?? the rear springs are factory ones now, as I gave all specs to rob. I will go from there.
My name is Russell
On the track everything is pushed to its limit, bump stop might look no way near bottoming out jacked up but when using stuff on track it pushes running gear to a hole new timewarp and the seeming impossable can occur especially if everyhing isnt setup for purpose track use. Every time so far I have taken my half ass assembled car on the track I learn something and end up redoing things, expect to build the car 10 times over. re did my rear end with turrets after first time out and now making new shortened struts on the front from scratch its just the way track life is. Dell'orto
Put Konis in it, with TRD springs. Will be more than you'll ever need for it.
drivekp60
its your car buy what ever parts or brands you want.
Gaz
Have you thought about Munroe or perhaps KYB?
LingLing
no gaz, I have not thought about munroe, KYB =TRD anyways. so yeh. I am in very tight budget, so Racing TRD adjustables + Racing TRD springs or BC Gold Whole set are the Cheapest solution. and Maybe add TRD suspension bush set. And I will be completely broke by then.
Simon
wattt TRD may = Kayaba in some cases but Kayaba =/= TRD.
Truenotch
Your shocks look like they have done a few years. Take the car to a suspension shop and have them check it out. As simon says, KYB isn't the same as TRD, but TRD are made by KYP (if you get the drift??). And yes, get a set of TRD springs if you want.
