Rookie
It should be easy enough, I have had old forks apart before usually involves a big allen key type thing that you put down the centre of the stanchion. Is it the spring rate that is too soft or the damping?
Steelies
one's leaking like asieve and the springs are very soft. i have a set of springs rated for a sidecar bike that may be the go, but one is currently springing the front of velbo bike #1 haha. 63Ragtop
Choice bike man, that seat looks like it would cut you in half on a big bump! but I guess the leather has some give in it, plus springs.
Steelies
yeah seat doesnt look like much fun but it feels surprisingly lush. lets be honest, it's all about how it looks parked up. i'd buy a goldwing for a pleasurable touring experience. i'd also have gay sex with sexy gay men. Seedy Al
hmmm. I feel you should cut the rear gaurd to it finishes at the top of the wheel, and trim up the front on also
rot808
I feel Allan is correct, twould lush it up nice I reckon Seat looks ravishing now also, Something about leaf springs that is just so awesome
Steelies
ah yes the guards. hah. i've had it sitting with bobtail and none on the front (rear guard splits at the top so easy to pop on/off) but it just seemed to flop straight over into the american bobber look, not realy what i want. still not really sure about plate location for that reason. i'd prefer this to be at home on a misty farm road in chetfordshire, more than the mean streets of LA!
capone
what are the front forks off? you thought off going back to girder?
Steelies
a later (40s?) red hunter. the hoarder in me says go girder but cost vs. performance vs. the bike is a mongrel anyway = not right now.

kicker
I bet the service limit details for the gearbox is something like "A maximum of 5 teeth may be missing, none of which shall be consecutive. The remainder of the gear teeth must have at least 68% of the wear surface area intact to allow normal operation."

oldnrusty
Bars looks RAD!! I noticed with mine, when i first put them on i had them kinda mild pointing down, then slowly over time and a few more outings i kept moving them more and more on the angle, I recon it looks way more bad arse and you get use to how its handles and feels, its not that bad
