Thousand Dollar Supercar Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I did not know that could be done. Gee, I wonder why they never suggested it to me when I took in the head from my old Rover 2600.... 1 Quote

Roman Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Actually here's a fun fact about the nomenclanture of the M series engines, and why the numbers arent sequential as you'd expect. While still in prototype phase as a planned obsolescence engine, Toyota Engineers described each iteration based on how many critical flaws in engine design there are. 4Mistakes5Mistakes6Mistakes7Mistakes They later dropped the idea and went back to making reliable engines. 4 5 1 Quote
sheepers Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 not just yet. other things are higher up the cue (cough supercharger cough) and will get done first. for now its just make it work reliably for the short term and engine swaps can happen down the track. 2 Quote

Popular Post cletus Posted June 26, 2018 Popular Post Posted June 26, 2018 Hi David I found you a fan. This is quite rare it was on a bathurst special edition valiant station wagon. They had a special transmission with second gear removed for light weight and a single barrel carb so they could do 3 whole laps without stopping for fuel. Peter Brock thought this fan was so great he signed it. Should be a good upgrade for your little toyota engine, this fan was designed for a big block 245 hemi 6 so it should cool your small engine twice as much and this plus thermostat removal should end any head gasket issues ever by running the engine at room temperature. I measured it and it will fit your engine, as a bonus getting rid of the viscous unit will give you the powerful fan noise of a much larger engine which will be impressive! Regards Clinton. 14 1 10 Quote

Carsnz123 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I've got to make sure I don't need the visco couple for the GS126. Quote
Carsnz123 Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Turns out I've got 4 fans and visco couples. Funny what you find when you go for a look. So it's yours for $20. Quote
