I've got extra outputs on the megasquirt. I could set up a stepper motor to open them at set values. 

But realistically I'd probably just be opening them at certain times for lol effect. 

Like outside an oldfolks home at 3am or next to a community hall where there's a workshop for those who suffer from ptsd.

I have tried sliding doors and butterfly valves in home made mufflers with much disappointment, you may get a slight change but the baffle chamber of the bit of the muffler that has been bypassed still will still do its job if any part of it is open to the exhaust flow.

Oh its totally an experiment and for sure there's a chance it might not make a huge difference. It's quite a big shortening of the route though so I feel ill see a fair bit more noise when they are open. I'm excited to find out.

There's no videos of that GWM engine running at least so your still 6 up on them. Just an Asian exec making finger guns at a car show.

If you could make a parody that would be excellent and end it with a running engine in an imp.

The subject of goldwings came up on a motorcycle forum. I'm told that when the 1000 came out Honda UK sponsored one in a roadrace sidecar outfit. It got shelved as they couldn't solve oil surge problems - it kept doing crank bearings. Given your flat floor sump, i'd be tempted to look at some baffles to keep oil around the pickup. And a pressure gauge in easy view.

Yeah it's got baffles and a high oil line. The cylinder bores extend in quite a long way toward the centre line too so the oil can't 'ride up the walls'.

I think it'll be OK but time will tell for many of the aspects within this build. 

Otherwise it becomes the world's longest coffee table build...

There have been a number of V8's created from motorcycle fours for use in speedway etc. The top ends on that look like current best practise Suzuki/Kawasaki/BMW on a special crankcase. Wouldn't be too hard to do given the number of V8's that have been built.
