73crownwagon
So you've done all this work on it in one week? Wow. Well technically I picked it up 15 days ago when it was still a full car so two weeks. The single life has it's benefits

Wow, you're still doing this unbelievably quick. Nice work. Thanks, it has been quite easy to throw together because I have had 'filthy-ones' build thread to half copy which helped out a lot. The Dude
Great job man, looks awesome! Hmm may have to customise the ride on a little now, just so I don't get utterly shown up at Kumeu

Ned
2 solutions for tail lights Denham... Both have some Pro's and Con's though. (dont worry about the red squiggly lines in the pictures) Option 1: Option 2: Option 1: Pro's - 1/2 the parts of option 2 Con's - Uses a capacitor to keep the relay alive, so capacitor needs to be 'tuned' (find the right size one to use) because if you use the wrong value, the indicator will flash strangely (either short or no flashes, or brake lights wont work for a while after using the indicator) Option 2: Pro's - no silly capacitor, and will do the same thing all day every day regardless of what parts you use Con's - uses more parts - when you're using the brake or indicator on it's own, they will mimic the same thing as the car lights (aka on when on, and off when off) but when using the indicator and brake at the same time, the indicator will be off when the car one is on, and vice versa. Neutral - if you pulse the brake at the same speed as the indicator, the light will stay off, which could be a fun game at traffic lights
downtrail
Use option one but add a drain resistor in parellel with the cap as the coil of the relay may be too small to discharge the cap quick enough to allow break lights to work afterwards. It's something you'll have to bench test to get right
Ned
Resistor is a waste of time. Coil will draw 200mA which is plenty to drain a cap. Just need to find the right size cap
73crownwagon
All this car spaghetti talk confuses me! Ned is my auto sparky homo boy so will tell Me what I need to do in a way a person like me will understand. We half wire it up tonight looking mean as! downtrail
Only problem i see is different cars will have different flash rates so ideally you want the cap to keep it energized longer than required then rely on a drain to pull the caps stored engery down quickly. EURON8
I haven't read all Neds stuff because I'm no sparky but surely just chucking an extra bulb and holder behind the lens would be easier and work with all cars?? How do murican cars do it?

EURON8
Or wait for a set of semophores (sp?) to show up on TM ad retro fit. What did the car use before? Pre indicator required model?
