anglia4
That looks like a tidy wee beast! I love these old things, I tried so hard to convince Phat-Tina to get one when she was looking at Mk1 cortinas.

anglia4
I love that red & cream interior. 100e's are the kind of car that really looks best being kept as a variation on nana-spec. Polished hub-caps, original interior etc.
63Ragtop
hope you can keep the old plates. good work saving this.
baby k
Thanks guys, It does need to be re-vinned, but really want to keep the black plates, worst come to worst, just try and buy them personalised and rock the black ones. Agreed, freaking love this thing! Any idea on direction of build? Just want to keep her stock paint, stock interior and keep playing with the Flat Head as its running really good at the moment. Tho could see me getting over the lack of Horseys under the hood, so a one day upgrade maybe. Maybe also a gear ratio upgrade to keep up with motor way speeds. Other than that, widened steels and lowering after the revinnning

Rookie
It should be easy enough to keep the plate, There is an 0800 number you have to ring and they sort it out from their end. Keep up the good work.
Bistro
Very nice Laura!
kyteler
Yeah, keeping the plates isn't a problem so you should be gravy. You might have to contact the local Vintage Car Club chapter, last I recall they had to have a part in it then you have to show proof that the car was on the road, registered with that number, which you'll have with the WoF stickers, etc. so it won't be a problem. Looking forward to watching your progress on this little beastie.
Rookie
^ thought this too, but when Maria rereged her motorbike it was just a case of ringing up a number hahaha
kyteler
Might be different for bikes? Or it's changed, regardless it shouldn't be an issue. I have to do the same to the '63. I've got a 'shop at home that I did years ago of one of these, I'll see if I can find it when I get home.

Ned
So what's the deal with perfect/Anglia etc as we had a 2 door 100e that said it was an Anglia and always thought 2 door was Anglia and 4 was perfect? But I never got deep enough into it to know what was really up
Truenotch
Yip, that's exactly it. The Anglia was the 2 door version and only came as a 100E with the wee side valve engine. Prefects are 4 door and they were later updated to the 107E which had an OHV engine (while they were waiting for production of the Consul 315 I think).
