WOF for spare tyre

Ive got a gtir that ive just bought and it has no room for a spare tyre. not sure where it originally went. If it strapped one down in the boot (where it would have gone) will it pass a wof? There i'snt any bolt holes or slots for a spare or anything.

Also is the inside rear view mirror necessary for a Wof?

Cheers

+1 spare not mandatory - I would figure if you get a flat and have to pull over then its your problem if your stuck, so long as your not parked somewhere causing a hazard. If you have one it needs to be secured and be legal.

Also technically as soon as you got a flat and put the spare on you would no longer have a spare, thus you'd be deemed not up to WOF standard and be liable for a green sticker.
