axle welding weirded me out.

I would've thought normal practice would be to scuff some material off the stub so it fits in

Ye thats what I would have thought. Looks like a potential weak point on an otherwise bangin trailer.

My oldman turns them down on the lathe aswell to fit inside axle tube.

But what the point i buying bigger stronger axles if your just going to turn them down.

The way i have done it is strong as.

Just chucking it out there but why wouldn't you buy a bigger axle tube??

I'm still fuckin envoius of your sweet sweet trailer though and can't wait to see Stevens 808/RX7/both on this as you haul it behind your DOHC Hiace..

Ok, started putting deck on on the weekend.

Heres the remaining pics i have before i took it home from where i built it.

Front tire is quite close to guard, as when weight is on the trailer it will move backward. Boss didnt look well enough into the running gear i had to use when he was instructing me so it ended up a little wrong. Will redrill axle guide holes and move it back or redo some of it later. Will see once we've had a car on it.

Already got plans and ideas for the next one which ill build and sell this one.

Steel and Galv came to $1200 incl GST.

WE already had all the running gear from a while back so thats all its really cost us.

Nah wes sorry, wont be ready. only got bit left to do but van is taking all spare time. Plus theres tests and insurence etc to suss first.

Coil in break line was mainly cause it was easier to attach it at each end when i had the extra movement and all the reasons and such above.
