BigDave
Cheers fella. Its a 4.2 AJP as rightly pointed out. Sounds even better with the cats out!
mikuni
Love it man! Told you there'd be a few others who appreciate it too. I'm ashamed to admit my love affair with TVR's started in the late 90's... with Gran Turismo... haha

BobbyBreeze
So freaking awesome. What are they worth in the UK? Very cool.
Snoozin
Very cool! My interest in TVR's was sparked by Andrew Whittakers Tuscan cup car he used to whip pretty much everything in the classic racing with, back in the early/mid 90's. KKtrips
^^ I used to drool all over same car - my boss was so determined to beat Andrew he went out and built a $60,000 302 for his Cobra and even then he was only just keeping up... Whats your thought on Hansons TVR? OMG spec or what??
BobbyBreeze
^ That car ruled. Remember pining over it so hard when I was a youngin.
ryanfels
Carl Hansons TVR is the reason i love these cars!
Snoozin
Man... Hansens thing is off the chain. Apparently it's going to be more so when it resurfaces.
KKtrips
Did you hear what he had done prior to the 09 season? He had Williams F1 Team design and CNC 3 blocks for him so he could get 5.7litres (maybe more) in a Rover configuration... Rumour was it cost $1.2mil for 3 blocks... sorry hijacking this thread with only semi relevant talk...
Vintage Grumble
^ Yeh, that dude knows how to spend money, I hear the car will be racing again very soon. A local chap is making a space framed 350Z twin turbo to try beat it, will be around 7/800hp, got a lot of fancy shit in it. Also, Mr BigDave, are these cars loose as shit in the rear/always trying to wrap you round trees? Beautiful car by the way, love the unigue designs of these beasts. DodgySam
I love all cars named TreVoR. The speed12 is the pinnacle of madness as far as im concerned!
Testament
you really are a right bastard dude! thats something awesome. there aren't many around NZ as I think with TVR's volumes being too low they didn't have to do all the crash tests for sale in the UK/europe - but because of that none of the '90s ones could be imported for commercial sale new or used here - could only be brought in if they were owned overseas first and brought in by the owner. This has changed in the last 2 years though.
Snoozin
SIVS has made importing radness such as these things possible, yeah?
Testament
SIVS has made importing radness such as these things possible, yeah? I beleive so. still need mo' monies
Dell'orto
I absolutely love the shit out of these cars...they're kinda like a Viper forced itself on an MX5, and this is the illegitimate offspring. A customer of mine had one in his work shop for ages, chap imported it, got it complied then there was some drama and the NZTA took it off the road Had to undergo abit of rust repair to the chassis to get it all legal again, but I saw it in the weekend so must be all go. BigDave
I am bringng it in under SIV and also as I have owned it for over two years prior to import. So no big dramas other than getting compliance sorted, thats where Jim comes in as they specialise in all things TVR and Lotus and know there beans. For info, the rear end can bite! Even in straight lines if you floor the gas it snakes up the road from side to side under the power and low weight. You have to be real careful on bends! Is the Tuscan you fellas are talking about the one that is up here in Whagarei? Apparently the fella has two of them and the full race spec car is a bit of a special animal. Must be the same one I guess? Cheers all
Truenotch
It's this one^^ We should probably start a "Hansen TVR Chat" topic somewhere cause what I've heard he's doing is different to what has been speculated on here... And it's very unlikely he would have spend 1.2mil on 3xblocks - the whole car owes about that much AFAIK. /We need more TVR's on OS.
BigDave
Yes thats the same fella. People keep telling me about him and his cars in the same town as me. I must find out where he is and go along and meet him for a beer (or two!).
