Yes thats the same fella. People keep telling me about him and his cars in the same town as me. I must find out where he is and go along and meet him for a beer (or two!).

I am bringng it in under SIV and also as I have owned it for over two years prior to import. So no big dramas other than getting compliance sorted, thats where Jim comes in as they specialise in all things TVR and Lotus and know there beans. For info, the rear end can bite! Even in straight lines if you floor the gas it snakes up the road from side to side under the power and low weight. You have to be real careful on bends! Is the Tuscan you fellas are talking about the one that is up here in Whagarei? Apparently the fella has two of them and the full race spec car is a bit of a special animal. Must be the same one I guess? Cheers all

A few more randoms, when the new motor turned up... It did go wrong and yes it can get expensive. But in for a penny...

Engine bay and chais got a tody up while the motor was out... Had to be done.

A few of the "during" rebuild shots... Was easier to just swap the whole motor, so thats what we did.

Before the noise... Then bring it on... This was just before I started getting oil in water and serious overheating. Bye bye bank balance...!

They are certainly a good buy in the UK, until they go wrong that is! Also worth a few dollars more down here. I spent a fair bit sorting out the new engine so was easily convinced by the fellas as KW not to sell it and bring ti with me. I still dont like the wheels so they are to be on their way out once compliance is sorted. But love the car and it sounds fantastic now I removed the cats!! A few old shots... Then it went bang... oops!

Ha har, nice one. I like it. By the way, its also on its way here and is going straight to KW Historics in Auckland for full compliance. I have already fitted a new engine and done some resto work under the bonnet so all good to go in a few months. I will dig out some more snaps then...

Pretty well stripped out mate, but it wont be that loud as I have two boxes in the system. Its by no means a street car, but will still be good to use it as one when the ood takes me. Does being 42 count for anything also? Just a big kid at heart but look an old fart on the outside!! Exterior of teh car looks pretty bog standard. Even the arches got strecthed and rolled by 1" either side, but internally so it looks stock from outside. Should be fine if I can get a WOF!! Cheers...
