Sell it to me. I will give you $5000 cash tommoro, well probly not tommoro as im rather busy. I feel it nessesary to buy this nice example of a 121 to save it. This way i can sleep better at night altho as time goes by i will start to forget and the thought of me owning it will just be a distant memory.

lol I guess i could sleep better at night if it was in my shed. I have plenty of parts for these cars including a pair of NOS brand new doors and door rubber kit. Also parts from 3 121's ive wrecked. Bonnets, glass, nose cones, mint dash boards, bumpers x8 , grills etc etc.

If you decide to sell send me a message. I always have crisp $100 bills

The fact you have removed the mudflaps and bumper rubbers has devalued it. Im only interested in it if its in original condition.

haha I already thought about that how do you know that I havent kept it in my little secret stash .... plus if I want to restore it to the original they need to come off neway ... but oh well each to their own

Now let's back to this NOS business :lol:

Not selling any of my parts sorry. They have been in my shed for the past 10 to 12 years. Saving all my bits to restore a 121 or rx5 when i find one.

Still love your car, look after it and remember to hit me up if you decide to sell.

Hit up Greg at Rotary and Turbo in Silverdale, I went there a while ago to check out his rx5 which was for sale. Think he was asking a reasonable price but I doubt anyones brought it so its probly still sitting there collecting dust

Interesting hearing the whole Piston VS Rotary debate.

When I was younger I always wondered why people bought 616s/808s etc and dropped rotarys in them when they came out as RX2s/3s from factory. It still boggles me to this day.

By the time you purchase an 808 or 616, put all the RX bits in it and get it certed, it's probably cost you more than just buying a Genuine Item.

Rotary conversion on the 121:

Reasons Why:

More power

Get the brap brap brap

RX5s are bloody hard to come by.

Reasons why not:

121s are bloody to come by

Keeping OG will probably make it worth more down the track

It's money you don't need to spend

You wouldn't happen to have a build thread on your RX007 would you Pat? Almost finished building a similiar set up & would be interested in how you went about things / what hardware you put in that thing.

R100: Mate of myne has a brother that HAD/HAS a 121. I'll get hold of him and see if he still has it / wants to sell it. Wasn't in the best state last time I saw it though.

EDIT: He still has the 121 but won't sell it / hes sticking a rotor in it auuw

I actually allready have a RX5 with a rotor in it auuw, well not quite an RX5 but a RE130 Cosmo which is an upspec RX5 with electric windows etc. If i would just finish it and stop starting other projects it would be one on NZ's most radical street legal mazda rotaries. I like RX007's 121 for its originalness. First thing i would do is remove the tints, loose the whitewalls then get it ready for some panel and paint touch ups. Other than that its kool just as it is. I like modified cars but original ones in perfect condition are so hard to come by now days. I guess for me i will find it a shame to see his 121 modified in anyway.

H8V8S, i met Greg many years ago and remember he had a series 2 RX5 in his shed. Was that the one he had forsale ? I see he advertises stuff on tard me from time to time, mite hit him up to see what hes selling.

May know of another original 121 with broken windscreen for cheap its down south but can go check on it if you'd like R100

Thanks for that, but at this stage im only interested in a mint original 121. Later on when i get my new workshop mancave i will be on the hunt for a couple of 121/rx5's for parts or restore. But if its no trouble and you dont mind finding out about the 121 then that would be awsumness.

What i really want is to find parts for an early 80"s Mazda Cosmo RE130 like the one pictured below. You will note that it has different tailights, not the hockey stick style as regular 121/rx5's

Also the front is much more uglier IMO than an RX5/121

This has confirmed to me who you are, bought a 1300 coupe off you once upon a time.

FFS you have had that RE130 car for at least 10 years have you done nothing with it? Last pic I saw was with the gold simmons and was gonna be a 20B if my memory from 10 years ago serves me correctly......

As for me old RX 7 ... just ask me whatever you want bro I dont really have build thread as such but I had a geez at yours and I think from memory you ran a pretty similar set up I have had heaps of problems with my stupidly large (1680cc) injectors also I had a MASTER POWER turbo .. which was okay and still pumps 350kw

I always knew that if I get a proper turbo it will have more potential which the new owner did str8 away and the result was 412kw atw ... Now that's lots for street car.

As much as I love to turn this 121 to something like me old car I probably wouldn't. While the rx7 was great fun but it also can be a bitch at time, aye.

So that gave me another reason not to rotor it but then again I have always been a rotor fan and some guy mentioned 121 are so hard to come by these days so why bother doin anything to it. Then again I dont really care to be honest ... car are made to be driven ... I actually drove it to work the other day and all these people wouldnt believe me why I drove it to work I simply becuase I can.

IF i do decided to go down the rotary road again it certainly wouldnt be barp brap brap ... well .... I think so I had a fairly good ideas of whats goin in there anyway

IF i do stick with piston oh well ... I mean this engine has done 140 kms and am sure it wont last forever so one day I might have to rebuild/replace it and I thought about that too. By then I wouldnt certainly rebuild it so therefore might be goin to a rotary ?? Who knows

As for keeping the prices of the car up and stuff to be honest I dont really care too like I have mentioned I bought it to drive it not sit there and gathering dust and make some more money of it later. I spent my investment money on other thing like rentals. So I dont really see the point.

PLUS I am looking to buy another RX........ so yeah I hope one day I will have a garage full of them .... Haha Untill that day ....

BTW I've got a 92 civic eg for sale with quads and all strip out for racing so if anybody keen to buy let me know so I can buy that other RX .........

Yeah i will make a build thread soon. This poor guys thread has gone a bit off topic because of me. Will take some piccys of my cosmo in the next couple of weeks.
