Could widen your steels... even as a 2nd set? Yeah thought about it but I rather actually keep the original wheels original .. u know what I mean .. Plus the ideas behind the adapter is "IF" for some reason I want to convert it back to standard 4x120 patt then I just take the adapters off and bob's ur uncle ! Good idea ?? Nah ??

Yeah i will make a build thread soon. This poor guys thread has gone a bit off topic because of me. Will take some piccys of my cosmo in the next couple of weeks. all good man give me something to do anyway and the weather is shit .. 20B x 2 please !!!!

As for me old RX 7 ... just ask me whatever you want bro I dont really have build thread as such but I had a geez at yours and I think from memory you ran a pretty similar set up I have had heaps of problems with my stupidly large (1680cc) injectors also I had a MASTER POWER turbo .. which was okay and still pumps 350kw I always knew that if I get a proper turbo it will have more potential which the new owner did str8 away and the result was 412kw atw ... Now that's lots for street car. As much as I love to turn this 121 to something like me old car I probably wouldn't. While the rx7 was great fun but it also can be a bitch at time, aye. So that gave me another reason not to rotor it but then again I have always been a rotor fan and some guy mentioned 121 are so hard to come by these days so why bother doin anything to it. Then again I dont really care to be honest ... car are made to be driven ... I actually drove it to work the other day and all these people wouldnt believe me why I drove it to work I simply becuase I can. IF i do decided to go down the rotary road again it certainly wouldnt be barp brap brap ... well .... I think so I had a fairly good ideas of whats goin in there anyway IF i do stick with piston oh well ... I mean this engine has done 140 kms and am sure it wont last forever so one day I might have to rebuild/replace it and I thought about that too. By then I wouldnt certainly rebuild it so therefore might be goin to a rotary ?? Who knows As for keeping the prices of the car up and stuff to be honest I dont really care too like I have mentioned I bought it to drive it not sit there and gathering dust and make some more money of it later. I spent my investment money on other thing like rentals. So I dont really see the point. PLUS I am looking to buy another RX........ so yeah I hope one day I will have a garage full of them .... Haha Untill that day .... BTW I've got a 92 civic eg for sale with quads and all strip out for racing so if anybody keen to buy let me know so I can buy that other RX ......... Whoa .... I thought you guys are such a quiet bunch but how wrong was I ??? Anyway I feel so privillage to be right in the middle of the scandal. As for price of the car I know how much the dude bought it for and I know I probably paid a bit too much for it(especially the Mrs. I was in the dog box for dyas) but I think to myself when will I come across another car like this again. Before this car I have never actually see any 121 or RX5 in person so the first one I see I decided to buy it !!! Perhaps it just come down to my love of cars. Perfect example was yesterday at the Rotary summerdrags my car was the only 1 of its kind in the sea of 323s 626s 929s RX2-3-4. So I had my little moment haha ... it's ugly and people will stare but that's what its all about isnt it ? Best thing about it is when people come up and look at it for ages then they couldnt resist to read the rego label As for plans for this car I got this thing in mind " If it aint a rotor it aint a motor " Haha Jokes .. face drop .. whatever .... I do like rotary though my last car was a shiny green RX7 that puts out a ridicously 350kws atw thanks to a stupidly large turbo and some bridgeporting !!! But before you say anything hear me out first the actual idea behind this car is " If it aint broke why fix/replace it" So the first thing on the car would be to get the body sorted. The more I work on this car the more rust I've discovered and I plan to keep this car for a rather long time yet it might be a good idea if I get this sorted before its too late dont you think ?I thought about doing myself and a few a mates but I thought about it some more and have decided against it so hopefully I will find somebody good enough to do this. I have a "new" color in mind but this is all depends oh how much its going to costs. So if the rust get the better of it then I am more than happy to stay with the poo brown. BTW if any of you that might know some expert in this area please let me know and if they are in Hamilton that will be even better. Next on the card will more than likely be the interior.Since the dash is already cracked and I do not want it to get any worst that will be sorted ASAP. Rear parcel also needs to be done but this is a rather easy job that My Mrs. volunteer to do ( yes !!) The carpet is a little bit on the "poo" side too and since its not too much to replace them carpet I will get it done at the same time. I hate to think how much more rust I will discover underneath them carpets. So once those are sorted I will hopefully end up with a "minter" car than she is now. I have made some inquiries about the wheels and only to find out 4x120 wheels are impossible to find. The best solutions we've come up with is to get an adapter plate made up and there is a company in Hamilton that make them.The price is "okay" but by the time I bought new wheels and all I could have easily spend the same amount on a new paint job and that's why I decided to do the body in the near future. As for the million dollars question : To rotor or not to rotor I will just leave you guys to "discuss" this matters further. Quite frankly its just too much fun to read. Anyway that is it for now ... Oops didnt know that there is such a thing as build discussion topic haha my bad Well I thought I show you guys some imprefections and some randoms Engine bay .. She's a stocker alright .. well apart from the oil cap and minus the rubber hose that goes on top of the manifold to the air filter but i dont need it anyway since it will be always in the garage so no icing up carbie Engine shot from the other side ! Note the newly painted airfilter cover ... I have decided to change the wheel nuts and I was dead set on ones the similar color to the car which I've found .. they are extra extra long bozo style ... My Mrs. thinks they are ugly .. what do you guys reckon ?? Well I like them anyway plus I was having a hard time taking some of the nuts off in fact nearly snapped them so just as well I changed them the crack right the middle of the dashboard and the back parcel tray .. any suggestions of what I should do here carpet , vinyl , cf ??? etc ??? some faded paint .. not sure if you can see it but this is one of the worst panel over the years there were some fuel leaks due to old fuel cap I have now sort this out but obviously the old owner could not care less if you look carefully you might be able to see the fuel trails .. u know what I mean ? and one of the worst (visible) rust spots The manuals I got with the car !!! Original too some specs .... and some more .. might be useful for somebody ?? This is the best bit ever ... It's from the casette manual HAHA attractive alright !!!

I have decided to take these ugly rubber protectors off and snapped one bolt along the way .. mind you this is 31 years old bolt and 31 years old worth of dirt build up .... brushing me grill !!! headlight surrounds before .. darker shade of grey and and after .. brigther silver and after all the work .... priceless haha .. I couldnt get the grill shinier especially up the top and pity about those rust spots underneath the headlight That's it for now kids ...

Kia ora guys ... Me name is Pat I'm originally from Thailand but has been in NZ but a long long while now. About me cars I have always been a Mazda fan my first car is a 1990 Mazda Familia GT I had a little accident involving power pole and phone box so after that incident I bought myself SA22C !! yes boys and girls me first Rotary it wasnt in the best cond but got to start somewhere right ? Since then I moved on to a few FD3S's(one of them dubbed "RX 007" hence the user name-some of you may have seen this ??) and now this .... 1978 Mazda 121 with a 2 litre Piston .. hmmm not an RX5 but oh well 141,xxx kms Most of its is still orginal even the windscreen with the aerial that goes right thru the middle Anyway Here it is I called it " The poo brown " !!! Actually My wife came up with the name and I'm sticking with it As you can see she's a minter ... I have got a a few plans for it but not too radical maybe giving it a rotary treatments ?? I would rather keep the original interior too even though my wife does not like it haha .. it's so retro and ugly yet its cool !!! I want to dump it too so once I dump it I will put some more pics up. Anyway let me know what u guys think about my poo brown ! I am open any suggestions but doesnt mean that I am goin to do it
