QCADTA
Shit this is a cool project! how far off being done? hopefully not to far off, would like to have it running before the end of the year, just gotta get a drive shaft made for it, put the lsd in it and hook everything up, then see if it fires. will have to measure the intercooler up for ya, but i got it off trade me, guessin hes still selling them. i see on turbosport youre making good progress on yours. took a while to find those rims, if youve got $700 a rim arrow wheels nz have some nice deep dish rims. Id say the 205 would give a bit more traction tho. Gaz. Love the rims.
QCADTA
wish i had ninja welding skills like youfucking awsome read, cant wait to see it finished and im loving the orange. dunno about ninja welding skills but cheers for the complament. i could hardl weld before i started this projectbut with a bit of patience and a descent helmet it wasnt to bad. if you can get your mits on a mig get some scrap panel steel and give it a crack 205/50 was the lowest profile i could find apart from 195/45 but thought they might be a bit stretched. will see how they go, got them fuckin cheap off a fella who does my warrants for me. Hows yours goin Gaz?
Gaz
Cheap is always good I think 205 over a 9 will strecth a bit anyways. I run 195/45's on 8's and they are only just showing stretch. Mine has hit a brick wall. I havnt worked on it since the Cortina was crashed bout 6-8months ago. Its gonna be longer too as I have a wedding in March to save for and then a house hopefully this time next year! So pretty much just piss round jobs are possiable on my budget.. I do however have pretty much everything to make it go so alot of small things can still be done. Gotta get Cortina painted first tho as its meant to be wedding car! Waiting on painter to free up workshop still tho! Gaz
kyteler
Definately run 205's, minimum. I think you'll regret it otherwise, imagine the lack of grip and the amount of tyres you'll go through. If you roll up to Trackday in it I might be keen to catch a lift, share petroleum costs etc. Depends how things look at the time and whether you'd want me in your car for afew thousand kilometres
