It is a better engine that the RB25DET and is cheaper at the moment too because of the Nissan drift buz. For abit of inspiration as to how good it looks and fits in older stuff; http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=9806 Ps, sorry to thread jack QCADTA. QCADTA
cheers dan. thanx for the encouragement! I got da intercooler off trade me. The dimensions are 450x300x76mm. With 90deg silicon joins it should fit perfect behind the grill. The front panel is from palmside, http://www.palmside.co.nz/ as for the bubblrs theyre another score off trade me. Will hunt out some old emails for you and maybe give you an address. Fook me an RB25DET is a big under taking! Youll have to chop alot out of your firewall, and have about a foot long drive shaft! Heres some reading for you. http://classicford.mine.nu/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10538 Good luck with ya build to mate, ill be following it closely, itll be a ripper if you pull it off! Just a couple of pics from this link.

Gaz
Ya just going to bung the radiator behind the cooler? Im running a small honda turbo one down the bottom, think 400x150x90.. Is still too long to get the pipes off it bending without cutting the side walls. Does yours have 90's sticking straight out the front? Whyya running such a huge cooler tho? What turbo you going to run? Not much room up the front of the little mk1's aye. Was trial fitting my cooler other day and no way of fitting how I wanted it! Might cut that lower huge peice out and put box section back in.
QCADTA
Yeah not much room at all! Im using 90deg silicon joiners wich do fit and im running a full alloy race radiator from a honda civic. My first ca18 has got a GT28 turbo, 510cc injectors, s/s manifold, apexi safc etc, and my second prepped up engine has a bigger high mount T3 turbo and an ex/wastegate if room allows, so thats what da bigger intercooler is for, and since the car is stripped i thought i might as well over compensate for further plans, dont think this car will ever be truely be finished! Gaz
Oh fair call. Sounds similar to my ca. Gt28r, 510 evo jectors, wastegate, BOv, filter cooler etc shit. Remapped ECU. You going for round the 200kw marks then?
d.p.n.s
sounds like a nice motor set up mate.
QCADTA
Yeah that would be good. Probably be enough in a wee car like the mk1......well for now anyway! Hows your build coming along?

Hows your build coming along? slowly man if i had more cash left over each week id be and you know how it is man i need things to do other things. like i need a skyline motor and box so i can cut the wall and tunnel and make new.(so if anyone has a motor even a fuked rb20turbo and box i can use just do mock up the wall and tunnel pm me) but all in all mate its stripped and waiting
Gaz
You should bag 200kw easy with the GT28r. Maybe even 220 if tuned right etc. Ya looked into using the remapped Ecus on trademe? He can do one set up for the GT28 with all sorts of modes.. even the Ca16 cam.
QCADTA
Yeah seen them on there. Mite have to get one once i know my exact setup. Hope fully the internals hold up to the extra power! If not, theyre still making engines! Know of anyone who has tried one?
Gaz
haha yeah sounds like your doing exactly what I am. As for people that have tried them.. i was going to ask you teh same thing.
