Gaz
Pretty sure its noted somewhere on OS that its Carbon Fibre. Think he got it made? Id be keen for one too, they are so light.. mind you they cost a bomb
QCADTA
Yeah it is a real carbon fibre bonnet that was made in dunedin from memory, light as! As for painting it, well i wouldve got a fibreglass one if i was to do that, might get a fibreglass boot though. The tops of the struts came off a piece of piss. All tou need is a 10mm zero angle drill bit for the spot welds and the good old angle grinder. Big guards = big wheels. Just figuring out how to change the front hubs to 5 x 114.3 to suit my diff. Heard mk 4 zephyr hubs mite work or something, any ideas? otherwise i might just get some alloy hubs made.
Gaz
Redrill them. I got some hubs here that've been redrilled but no studs whacked through. Usefull? What wheels you looking at running boss?

Its the first car ive fully rebuilt myself and first time welding, i think it shows but still learning

Gaz
oh real, mind letting us know what they worth?
QCADTA
Yeah that rear panel replacement thread was quite helpful. As for the brakes,at a guess id say just over a grand which isnt to bad for all you get, plus i need ALL those parts anyway, so if your mk 1 only needs callipers and disks the ap way would probably be the go. Also gonna get a VH44 brakebooster as well to help the pedal feel.
Gaz
Oh true. Nah I already got JZR lightweight 4pots, 300mm disc, remote booster, custom pedal box so prob just use what I got. Was just another option if it was cheap. I have to design and get some custom hub/adaptors turned up which could turn a bit pricey. Your running hilux rear aye? Gaz
Forgot what I was going to ask regaurding that.. Maybe: What discs are you running on it? I want something that has as minimal offset as possiable as to keep the diff as skinny as poss. Gaz
sholdowa
If you've got any AP 4 pots you don't need, let me know the model numbers and price. 'pologies for spamming (:
QCADTA
Im not to worried bout my offset since im running bubble arches and changing to 5 stud. If your going to a hilux diff using silvia rear disks and callipers redrilled to suit is not to bad to do, seen it done on a starlet. And yes i will keep people posted as to what im gonna do with my AP callipers. Freight for my new brakes is $250 aus gotta have brakes though i spose Fuckin sick of the weather down here, lots of faults = no time in garage but does = lots of money which = new parts.
