You need to be able to sustain an honest 65-70kph for as long as needed.

This route has a lot of sealed roads, and the back up guys will be hating on anyone who holds them up too much. 

Its a small bike ride, but not a slow bike ride.

As I'm sure both @Vintage Grumble and @DRAD1Stylez will attest, the NBC110 is the greatest motorcycle ever built.  Not crazy fast. But they do what they say on the tin.

I don't know, I'd probably have to ride them back to back to feel the difference. The ground clearance is the biggest obvious difference. I can only just flat foot it with both feet and I'm fairly lanky so it must make make quite the change.
