Sorry fellas, but I'm going to have to bail on this years ride. I've been booked in for surgery on the 25th so that completely puts me out. Super gutted, especially after doing a lot of the route on the Temu 800 over the weekend which ramped up the fizz for small bike mayhem. We did McKenzie Pass, Black Forrest, Danseys Pass, Old Man and Old Woman ranges, and Nevis Valley (probably forgot a couple of others). A couple of the river crossings through the Nevis were still waist deep so that adds to the excitement. I look forward to seeing all the pics and will be back for full send redemption in 2027.

All signed up. I better start getting some shit together and throw a new rear tire on at some stage.

That Birdlings gravel pit at the end of Bossu Rd distributed stones to places I didn't know existed on my bike, haha. Thought I'd done a serious mischief to the engine but it was just a stone wedged behind the front sprocket and was rubbing on the chain, whew!

Came in to work a bit early tonight and steam cleaned the CT. That chain lube goes everywhere!! All ready for the next lot of abuse.

I wish I had a GoPro while smashing up there, was such a gnarly climb.

Bit of a pic dump. Thanks everyone who helped make this amazing journey possible. Such a good bunch of like minded adventurers, sharners and full senders, and I can't bloody wait for next year. I'll be sure to bring half a dozen spare tubes next year at the rate I was going!
