GuyWithAviators
If anyone is keen to come but doesnt have a bike that can sit at WOT for 3 days let me know and I can put you in touch with this guy selling a PGO 50cc 2 stroke beast. So reliable and handle off road awesome, throw some wheel barrow knobblies at it and you can go anywhere. Here he is on his PGO at the end of the Motu special stage last year doing a skid while @HighLUX and I were drinking warm, flat Coronas waiting for the rest of the crew. Heaven. Defintley need to get a bunch of K's in on bikes to prove reliabilty before this ride, it's punishing on engines / suspension / bumholes. Bung / bum hole fizzing so much!
RUNAMUCK
I just saw this on farcebook. I mentioned it to the middy and she was unimpressed.face.jpeg. So it's just an expression of interest from.me at this stage. I fucking love riding Ronnie the Dio at wide open throttle. Might have to.investigate the cost to freight him.up. where's the starting point? 3

johnnyfive
Siiiick. I'll try put together some options that are still up in the air over the coming weeks as far as route/rotation and see what everyone thinks. How bothered is everyone by Rere Falls/Rockslide? Could cut a few K's off that day by avoiding it but it would mean a few more KM on SH2 on the Jizborne side. Getting away earlier each day would probably make the day more pleasant but its pretty impossible I reckon. The less rush there is the more time we have to feck about in scenic remote locations/sharn like our lives depended on it.

Mop Head
Tbh I’m keen for exactly the same as last time. Keen as for the rock slide. Especially if people are coming up the whole country for it, that’s a cool thing to see/do. Early starts is is a wicked idea and a few hours to pest at each place in the evenings would make things epic. More beach/dirt road adventures at hicks bay and over the in the massive dirt area where @64vauxhall and @GuyWithAviators had a massive laughing fit on the vity in the Eastcape video. We could actually go up the hill in gisborne with @Raizer. Also mainly keen for a Motu pest because last time I spent it crying in the back of a Jimny with the bags(backpack variety) of many men jarring me collarbone and a half sodden @Archetype beside me. 1

BLIZZO
To be honest i Would be very interested in going anti clockwise this year, I think it would solve a few problems - everyone would be fresh and alert for the most technical part of riding of the whole trip - we will have a bit more time to do that long Motu / rere falls part of the ride as we won’t be rushing to get back so people can get on the road - it would mix it up a bit for those that did it last year - the last “night” could be a massive pissup with everyone staying at the same spot at hicks bay so yea I think that could be a good option. Main benefit is allowing more time for the coolest part of the ride, and will give it a bit more time if people have issues. It also puts us in gizzy after the first day which would be ideal for fixing first day issues as we will have raizers workshop, rather than fixing shit with flax and nut fuckers at hicks bay. tell me I’m wrong k thx

Shakotom
Valid point by Blake. May was well rattle everything loose on the first day so you know what’s gonna fuck out. also yes. Was probably not as attentive on Motu on the last day as I should’ve been and ate shit quite well down a small bank. also, would be nice maybe to have a group set up for accomodation first night as it’s a good way to meet and interact with everyone. what about looking possibly looking into one hotel for everyone - book yourself but all stay in the same spot. That was we could carry on socialising after dinner etc i think the place we stayed only worked out $10 more expensive each than the hostel

Vintage Grumble
To me, the biggest waste of time last year, was the food places in Rua and what ever that trike lady town was called. I wonder if support vehicle/persons would be keen to go ahead and BBQ/carry pre purchased food. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
