That diff is awesome. I just did the high steer mod on mine. Haven't connected the PS back up and it seems much easier to steer

Choice, might see what its like, before i bother with the ps gear then.

Pretty sure he said that one came out of a prado,  unsure what else has them.

 

fitted the hilux case no drama.  only thing i had to do is correct the pinion angle.  which gave it some sweet race car caster over factory. watch out oldshool track day, i'm gonna be passing you on the grass.

Those diffheads come from surfs too. It should have 4 cast ribs on the outside instead of 3 on your standard head? I've got a high pinion head in the rear of my lux

 

edit: or maybe I'm getting confused with 4 pinion V6 diffs..

Yeah your confused, 4 pinion has the extra ribs but some are different again with late model stuff because all the new stuff is 4 pinion and there are a few different castings

The one i have is a front diff,  has the reverse cut teeth, so runs the correct way on drive.   not a rear diff whacked in the front spinning backwards, like they have factory

going to make a shorter deck at some stage.   but no plans to shorten the chassis.
