Chris.QCR Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Haha cheers guys ! Yeah ill be using the Pangea Speed bars. Just getting clutch cable re done and notching oil tank for more chain clearance. I scored the old rug for free and parked Harley on it as I was sick of cleaning up oil spots all over the garage floor so now the rug can soak it up haha 3 Quote

Kimjon Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Nice work, can't believe I had never seen this thread before. I've been working on something similar off and on (well...mostly off) for the past 3 or 4 years too. It occurred to me the other day just how close to finishing, but meh...why rush? Great seeing another hard tail is out there, keep up the good work. 1 Quote
Chris.QCR Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Cheers @Kimjon ! Yeah ive owned it for 4 years and ride it for 1 year then started to chop it. That took 1 year then 2 years of not touching at all then spent last few days on it and just about done 2 Quote

Popular Post Chris.QCR Posted January 22, 2019 Author Popular Post Posted January 22, 2019 So another 8 months passes by. This thing was as good as sold late last year. Dude hit me up on the regular for the better part of the year and I gave in after a unbelievable offer.Dude flew down and checked out and we organised freight to Auckland and then he went quiet over xmas . And then in the new year he rang and left a message bailing on the deal. I was a bit gutted as I drummed up in my head that I was done with it. But now its staying. In last 8 months ive ridden around block ablut half a dozen times and its got a stutter which if jetting I feel so will get onto that in good time. However after looking at it pretty much finished ive decided I dont like the style anymore. So ill ditch the Rear guard , Sissy bar , Taillight , King Queen Seat and restyle the whole rear end. Also will get rid of pipes and make something myself. Will also fit indicators but keep them tucked away and hidden to a certain point. Be nice to ride it finished next summer so ill see how I go aye. Here is the style seat and rear end I like 12 Quote
Kimjon Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Hey man, looking good! I'd you want a rear fender, I've got a 1935-40 Ford rear wheel cover that I'd trade for a box of beer. Like this (but about 60% of the circle left, as I used the 40% bit on mine). https://picclick.com/1930s-40s-WHEEL-COVER-FORD-CHEVY-BUICK-Continental-303020313089.html These fenders are highly sort after and have become the go-to for old school harley dudes. I hunted for one for years, turning out very hard to find one in NZ. But i got lucky one day. This is what it looks like on a bike: The left over bit is still in original oxide red primer. It's in better condition than the bit I used...usual story, use bad bit for practice...then it turns out looking sweet...so leave it on there. Anyways if that happens to be what you're after...let me know? If you're looking for a different look...no stress. 1 Quote
Kimjon Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Just dug it out. Or you can have the ducks arse harley fender off an old sporty for free if you like that style? 2 Quote
Chris.QCR Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 @Kimjon id be super stoked to buy that ford fender off you for a box of beers ! Is it possible to get this to someone who is coming down from near you to wagnats next week and ill get a beer of your choice to you the same way Quote
Chris.QCR Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Maybe even chuck that sporty fender in too and ill chuck in 2 boxes ? Quote
