Chris.QCR Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 So last week I had all the fabrication finished up and pre wired the whole bike On sat morning before Josh's wedding I stripped the bike to a frame and then yesterday I finished some welding of brackets I'd done and cleaned up plenty with the flapper disc on the grinder . Then tonite dropped off the frame to Jonny for tig welding the critical frame and rear calliper mounts . Will drop it off at crack testing tomorrow and hopefully have it back before the end of the week so I can sandblast before dropping back to the powder coaters! Only 19 days till the smash palace bike show and 250 k ride the day before ! 7 Quote

Will be sand blasting the frame tomorrow to drop off at the powdercoaters asap . It's all go ! 5 Quote

They got me on the fact my light was made to a later spec then the year of my bike. So to keep it I would have to add turn indicators to it. Quote
Lord Gruntfuttock Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Ooooh just joined. I run a '76 ironhead cafe. Cool bike once you get em sorted, and if you make allowances for them basically being a 1950's design... if i can find the pics I'll knock out a build thread on my one... 3 Quote
Chris.QCR Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Cheers ! I love you Cafe Ironhead ! Have I seen this at Burt Munro a few years ago ? Looks familiar Quote
Lord Gruntfuttock Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Yeah it made its debut at the Burt a couple of years ago. Think the paint was still wet... Got a few mods planned for her but been going ok. Love seeing other irons out and about... Quote
