HighLUX
Keen to see pix on how close a JZ bellhousing is to fitting
OldNathan
M series is only held in by exhaust now. Will be dummy fit to the engine bay this weekend all going to plan. As soon as its off the stand ill sit the bellhousing back up to it and get a pic.
Evan
Awhile back when I was googling about these engines, I think (from memory) people were saying the bell housing bolt pattern on the block is the same as a 1UZ. You've played with 1UZs can you confirm they are the same? Would make aftermarket bell housings easy if they are...
OldNathan
Yeah the biggest thing I have learnt now is unless its a general consensus its best to try it lol. So I did. The 1UZ is almost a comparable fit to the JZ one. Obviously the starter hole is in the wrong place but more bolt holes line up. The JZ is a slightly better match to the actual bellhousing shape. Ive added pictures to the build thread.

OldNathan
Does anyone have a mid shift shifter for an R154? Looks like the one on the box I have will sit a little to far foward to my liking. Also after a very low ratio F series LSD. Like 3.2 ish?
HighLUX
This is going to be fucking sweet. Who makes the bellhousing? Niteparts?
OldNathan
Im excited to hear it and feel the torques. NZAD made this bellhousing.
PedRac3r
This is cool dude! That engine is begging to have all that junk removed and some ITB's and headers fitted
OldNathan
All the junk is well removed haha. Deleting the fly by wire and going mechanical throttle bodies. Link ecu and wiring is start from scratch. Headers aren't to bad from factory. Going to stick with them.
thegreatestben
Every now and again I like to watch that video of a century doing tunnel passes. I can't find it, so you need to recreate for me.
XSVWGN
How much "massaging" did you have to do in the gearbox tunnel to fit the R154? I aim to run a R154 in my tt132 corona and was wondering how much clearance there would be? Matt
OldNathan
Quite a bit. But it doesn't take much to move it though. Pretty maluable under there.

Need to go to G series to have any chance of finding ratios close to that. 3.7 is the nearest ratio I know of in F series and it's friggen hens teeth.
