whos had them done?

whats the ride quality like afterwards??

and what did you pay for it to be done?

i wanna lower my transit, i cant do it with blocks cos the diff and front beam is under the leaves, itll just jack it higher.

i dont think flipping them will be a good option cos the van must be quite heavy..

although the leaves seem fairly flat almost allready...

whats ya thoughts?

Ive had them done, got them done in Hamilton, I'm sure there will be somewhere around closer to you.

As for ride quality, basically it rode just as shit as it did before I got them reset haha, better than removing/flipping though for sure. Don't know if its going to do much if they are already flat, find a local spring place and go for a chat

my axle tube is about 85mm or so,havent measured it, but if i put it on top the body will be hard on the diff/bumpstops etc..

wouldnt be so bad if i could actually get some bigger rims for it like 15x7s or something and run a 245/60 and fit lake pipes and front lip to make it look like its lower...

I had it done on my escort, it worked out well, the ride stays the same unless you specifiy otherwise as they can add or remove leaves as necessary. Remember also that if you get leaves added, you will probably need new U bolts to account for the thicker section

from memory it was around $250 for the pair

Depends on the leaf.

Most are curved to allow better springing action. When you flip the main leaf, yes you drop the eyelet, but you also have the other springs battling the curve of the main leaf, this is how they always end up looking flat as. If you have flat leaves already then you might get a away with it no problems.

Can still flip a single to change the eye location, but other than that, blocks.

Yeah tried it last night, was very difficult to pry the leaf into place once it was flipped. I gave up in the end as it was getting dark. Also it looked like it would foul on one of the brake cable holders.
