Truenotch
I'm using the same extractors as before that are made to the Toda measurments (roughly). Works out well:

Truenotch
You can buy them off the shelf - the kitset looks something like this:
nothingsfree
Does that set include all of that, or do you choose what sizes you need from that?
Truenotch
Nah, that set is just a collection of random bends. I bought a pile of bends from Coby to do mine with using the measurements of the Toda pipes - I can track down the lenghts and sizes if you want? nothingsfree
Ahh right, sweet as. Well these extractors I bought should turn up in the next day or two, so Il have a look once I get the engine back in, and see if I can make them work at all.. spanners
Im just gonna use the standy headers and make a new secondary bit - they are hardly ugly. One day I will get some gangsta gangsta ones and bling hard
nothingsfree
Agreed, I only picked up these Tanabe ones because they were shiny, and I got them cheap. The standard ones are pretty good. Simons ae85 was run for the last couple of years on standard headers, he just spent abit of time port matching them. nothingsfree
In regards to these extractors I bought, Id like to give them a good clean up. Whats the best method for cleaning up stainless, to bring it back to new? Cheers
Raizer
I've had luck using jif and a fine 3M scourer par on extractors in the past.

Going to run a large piece of steel from the radiator support panel, back to the gbox x member. Also going to modify the sump so it sits above the bottom of the x member..
