You gotta see them majorly loaded going on 10000km trips on gravel. Inspiring. I'm not Gona do that

My old man bought one for my sisters new townie partner when he came to work on the farm could buy a gn125 ag spec -knobblys, jacked front guard, handle bar guards for mudbug 125 money. plus it's a bit shorter. Turned out he is a mad cnut, and the tacho spent its whole life in the red until the cable snapped. Fuckin thing still goes as backup bike across 2 farms... 7
tortron
Made some of the thing Turns out I basically replicated my roundtheworld bicycle racks. I didn't intend that, but it's a strong design and I'm using bicycle panniers, so I guess it makes sense. Another hoop at the top seat level at the rear will tie it all together. I figure I will extend that out to the stop light like the factory one. Top rails are at seat height so I can strap something flat clear across the panniers and seat. Pillion seating is not impeded in any way. It's pretty light. Speaking of lights. Obviously I will need to move the indicators. Probably I will tie them into the rear section of the rack. Have not looked at the wiring yet, but guarantee there's not enough slack to do that.

RUNAMUCK
I saw one today being ridden by a DX mail guy. What does the H after GN125 mean?
tortron
High performance! dunno, i think they started using it after shifting production to china. maybe it means high compression as i would imagine theres a low comp one for 3rd world fuel

flyingbrick
Yesssss. Extend the other rail out to tail light then put a few across it so theres room for additional fuel.

tortron
Adventure GN Does more than 100kph so I'm wondering if NZ ones get higher gearing, or are they putting 150 cyclinders on them sneakily? 260km and I've not hit reserve yet
Mop Head
There was a GN125 and 250 riding together on the first eastcape. 250 had maybe 5kph more top speed. Was odd. We assumed that 250 was half chooched but all signs point to that being pretty normal.
tortron
Yeah I don't think my 250 was any faster. Maybe 120 at full tuck with a run up
igor
As a comparison my ex's '76 CG125 did around 115 wide open if I laid down flat on the tank.
