christ i still have this POS

have done roughly 10,000 kms since taking ownership of this black beast (end of march)

and it definitely shows as i have never cleaned it

gave most of it a brush down with kero today (namely the back half as that required further work)

Was fitted with a standard no oring chain, which by this point was as stretched as adjustment would allow. So i ordered a new chain and sprocket kit this morning, which arrived at about 3.30 this afternoon at my doorstep  (free postage even).

just need to pick up a couple of bolts for the chain adjusters and il be operational again.

also i need a new rear tyre, anyone goot a deal on a 16 inch tyre?

i roll that gold+black coloured can 'chain wax' shit which seemingly has a good result for me. coat the shitout of it wen the chain's warm (i.e after I'd ridden it home) and left it overnight to trickle in and set. chains seemed to last really well with that muck. a bit flicks off and shit but it's fairly clean.

no chains ftw. get a scooter :P

New battery today

Starts happily after roughly 12 months of pushing it

$65 for a new one - love the availability and price of parts.

Also got a black battery-side side cover.

Figure il wof and reg it for daily duties again to the new job.

This also means i can start saving for a new bike :D

Change le oil often. Keep the tyres pumped up. - modification list for GN125.

Oh; polish the chrome every now and then. We get ones with shitty surface rust forming quite early in their ownership. (though for some reason these people have been sold on the GN as a no maintenance bike; therefore never do anything for the first 3 years and get shocked when they fail on tyres etc at the first WOF; thanks local Suzuki shop)
