Snoozin
You just need a momentary pushbutton switch capable of handling whatever amps will flow through it. All it's doing is switching a relay anyway.

Unclejake
I just got mine from the local electrical wholesalers. It is sensational quality and will never ever die. It is big and green and even says "start" on it. Probably designed for machinery etc. It is a "momentary on" switch
lowlancer
Yeah the 12V mom switches at Jaycar will be sweet. Fuck, I slammed a dodgy as non mom plastic switch in the sigma last september that just shorted out the starter and it was still going mint when spencer got her on Tuesday. You'll never break them. forced
You don't buy electrical swithes from a car shop. You buy them from an electrical shop. Jaycar have them, and as above, electrical wholesaler. I put a $5 one in the Zephyr back in 1982. It probably still works, maybe find out soon. V8Pete
Get a toggle switch for ign on too for mean key-offs.
Mk1Mad
Early Minis and Land Rovers had push button on the floor. Try Tradme auction (expired) 166906676. Make sure its a push button one but im pretty sure it is. Was cheap too. (Also, designed to be put in battery + cable from battery so must be able to handle the jandel)
ProZac
We can get some speciality ones in at repco that should do the job, i can have a look on sunday if you havent sorted it by then? Shouldnt be expensive, should be able to get something top notch quality that even says 'start' on it . Redpaths are a good electrical supplier in chch, they've always been good to deal with. TWL deal in Hella parts if you want to go that way, repco do Narva/Projecta.
Yowzer
I spent a whole $10 on my start button. Sits under the dash and works sweet as. I took my ignition barrel off as I don't have a key for it.
