I'm not a huge fan of flares, but it seems a pity to not use the 10 inch wide rims on the back, and to cut down a set of the 9 inch rims, its like getting a wang reduction? I reckon this thing looks ok with flares:

Also, this car was fucking horrid to ride in before he sorted the suspension out, and it is his daily driver, so to go much lower would make it cuntish again, it still scraps on everything, and the sump is pretty much the lowest point, would be a lot of cost and work involved in slamming it, only to make it near on undriveable (fuck i sould like a sensible old man)

a bit of guard work and a small tyre and that should work in the rear. biggest problem your gonna have is finding a suitable tyre in nz. have fun

You can get Toyo FZ4 in 215/50/13 , which will fit and seem to be a quite nice tyre. About $200 a pop though without hookups.

Actually, if you're quick you could pick these Kumhos up. They look the biz.

I didn't actually know about this size Kumho.

Theres another that you can get thats cheap and non-directional. I think its a Toyo as well but I can't find it.

Updated!

Wheels are on and the tyres are exactly how I wanted them to be. Will get some close up pics real soon showing the stretch etc.

Will get the guards rolled out in the next week or two hopefully to close the gap. I would slam it more but then I wouldn't be able to drive over the painted lines on the road!

What matters is if you dig it.

I think the profiles are too big, and also think the wheels are too small for the car. 14s minimum, possibly 15s. Also needs more width. I would also not have powdercoated them completely.

Like the car a lot otherwise

I ain't 100% happy with the size either but they do suit the car heaps. The rims came already powdercoated like that so I'll hopefully chrome them before the meet at the start of next year. But I aint too sure about that either. What you guys recon?

You fail at photos haha. Or maybe its my monitor? Can you take some like those ones at night time, but in light. I think it looks sweet and the height is probably about right for a cruiser too

We're gona try and get a few of our cars together one night after a wash and a shine and get some awesome photos done using all my old mans pro photo gear. Should be mean!

All or nothing when it comes to this type of thing imo. Have a look at the VIRM manual and see if theres any loop hole in it that means you can get away with running epic extensions, then just keep that page handy at all times. Or perhaps try get it certed?

If theres no way around it, just do it any way and roll with it/take them off when you get in trouble.

It needs to be the same diameter pipe from under the car though. nothing pains me more than having a crappy exhaust with epic big extensions protruding from the rear, but still being about to see the sharp bend and crap exhaust underneath still.

Continue.
