kicker
Am gonna try and use the sweet mower handle bars Now have fuel hose and throttle set up and the engine is running well but there is something missing off the throttle cable causing too much slack making it hard to keep constant revs. Time to go rummage in the garage for something to fix it. kicker
I've been procrastinating with sorting getting drive to the rear wheel So here's a cool operating manual instead.
DodgySam
I've been procrastinating with sorting getting drive to the rear wheel Im in the exact same boat boe. Think I have made up my mind now and am making headway to getting it done. I really just need to decide what hubs to run in the wheels and get the damn things built. kicker
Question: Can you get belt pulleys that fit onto a square taper bicycle bottom bracket?
DodgySam
um...you could probably get a belt drive kit from someone for a square drive BB. They are notoriously weak tho and tend to flog out fairly quickly as they are only made from aluminium. If you wanna go down that route id suggest getting an industrial pulley machined to fit a square taper BB axle. Would be pricey tho.
CaMpylobacter
good man on a lathe could spin you up a new shaft to run in bottom bracket that'd take whatever kind of pulley you please
Goat
Your mum takes any pully she pleases... Tack a Bmx rim to your Bmx rim. And Use that as a pully. Xzibit spec
EURON8
I have a request sir, Can you please sit on this on somewhat riding position and take side on photo. I sat on mine it it seems to small. Need to get it fully weldied up and rolling so i can test properly
kicker
A custom shaft may be the way to go, modifying the existing axle will probably be more work than knocking up a new one. I could then use some decent bearings which would help the double pulley (all the way) I was thinking of using.

Will get a pic for you on Sat
Steelies
square BB or BMX crank spindle would still be the go i reckon. bmx BB will have sealed bearings, plus having factory alignment for chain/belt to rear wheel. fixing pulleys and sprockets to a plain shaft could be a bitch unless you have big faith in grub screws, lock nuts, pins, or have broaching gear to make a keyway.. chop crank arms and turn down to a useable hub to attach gears to?
