Vintage Grumble Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Good day gents, are any of you fine chaps attending this prestigious event from Wellington? I'm bringing a motorbike motor down for @Goat and was wondering if someone might be able to take it closer to him? He may want to actually confirm where hes at, but I think its welly? Quote
anglia4 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 If its not too huge of a bike we can probably stash it at dads (where the ride starts/ends) for a wee while until @Goat could collect. Wouldn't want to be too long though as we are pretty jam packed in the bike shed at the moment. Quote
Goat Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 @Vintage Grumble Woops, had forgotten about that. @anglia4 Its a gs550 engine. That would be awesome if you could hold onto it. I can do a trip up to collect over the chrismas hols if that's not too far away. Otherwise i can figure something out sooner. 2 Quote
anglia4 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Oh just an engine yeah sweet we will find room for it. 2 Quote

anglia4 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Hey why not next weekend? Bring a bike 3 Quote
Goat Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Only got big bikes that go at the moment. hah. Need to build my f5/yb100 pest bike up. These multi day missions greatly appeal to me. Will put my name down for next year. Gives me 50 weeks to do nothing, then 2 weeks to build a bike and commit to a ride with zero testing. perfect. 4 2 1 Quote
johnnyfive Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 I'm just booking a bed for the night before (Thursday) in NP, just in case there is no off-street parking or its deep in the ghetto, ok to drop trailer/bikes off the night before? 1 Quote

We have an extra bunk at the top 10 if you wanna bunk in with the flaggotz. May or may not be a charge as we are getting in lateish and pre-booked. You'll need a sleeping bag for that though but cheepish Quote
johnnyfive Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Me & VG got a cabin also. Thank you for reminding me that I need to check on the linen situation, I don't get out often. 1 1 Quote

alfalfa Posted November 22, 2024 Author Posted November 22, 2024 How's the fuel consumption going? Quote

It will still be terrible, as the needle was already all the way down, so must need a smaller jet. I have around 6L extra gas onboard though, so hoping if I don't go over 80/90khm I can get 200km out of it. Quote
