Would it need a cert for 948 to 1098 swap given that the two look alike enough for it to not be noticed at wof time and the horsepower difference is probably bugger all?

I could probably pull the 1100 tag off the side and hope he isn't an A series boffin to decode the engine number.

But I just checked the head I have and it's a 950 one which isn't good on a 1100 so at this stage I'm not Gona rebuild that one

Regarding the revin, how hard would a plate and tag swap be? Surely something this old would be a cakewalk?

/don't do that though, it's illegal!

Ok I've figured it out

Its had a 1100 swap in the past, and then the marina engine was rebuilt and swapped in in Nelson.

Its been illegal for decades. Wonder if the re Rego inspection failed on that or the rust

Please do. This forum needs much more minor content

Going to be selling my Riley 1.5 drum setup soon if you want an upgrade. Won't be dirt cheap though.

Have to take them off the Traveller first. Wof man can't handle the increase in pedal pressure and I don't want to tell him they are non standard.

Why not 3.8m8 it?

I was just about to say that.

You've got a spare 3.8 m8 so chuck that in for max moo diff blowing power

After some soul searching, I'm Gona supercharge the marina engine. That should save me from wanting to supercharge my sidevalve.

Flanges are readily available off the shelf now days, I struggled to find them 10 years ago.

Already have a v pulley for it. Will probably just make up a  plenum to bolt to a standard or twin carb intake, and fit some basic lcbs.
