Beaver Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Yeh we have locked one in for Dec 16 as well, but no reason we cant do more/this is just an adhoc one. Quote
Seedy Al Posted November 10, 2017 Author Posted November 10, 2017 Exactly this. This thread is for multiple camping missions. Not just the one. Maybe I should update the original post with dates and places. Quote
Seedy Al Posted November 10, 2017 Author Posted November 10, 2017 @Steelies @Big Value Buddy Shssss just come camping tomorrow night. Quote
Big Value Buddy Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Yoooo! My day is pretty jam packed tomorrow, so I'm an unlikely starter. However, I'm making sure I'm free for the main December forks fest. Quote

Seedy Al Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 Had a discussion over the weekend about doing a camp in the Wairarapa mid Jan. There is the kiriwhakapapa doc camp which is a little gem about 10min north or masterton. However from memory that camp ground is pretty much just a big open field. However if you actually like to walk etc there is a sweet as track that follows an old wooden tram track from back in the logging days in the area. I do believe @Big Value Buddy and @Shaz had a similar conversation about Hitting one of the South Coast camps, so im down for either. So. Thoughts? Im suggesting the 20th of Jan. But yeah. 1 Quote
Nominal Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 That would be Wellington Anniversary weekend, so Monday is a holiday. I'm keen, other plans notwithstanding. Quote
Beaver Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Is that that gorge one we talked about? Quote
Seedy Al Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 Errrr. Well its not holdsworth if that's what you mean with the swing bridge. ..... but that is also an option lol. Quote
Beaver Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Waiohine gorge was the one I was talking about which is meant to be legit. Internet tells me the road there is closed though (wash out) so that wouldn’t be any good haha. but yeh I’m keen wherever Quote
Moffmo Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Waiohine gorge is fucking lush. Awesome drive to it too. Just go on DOC to see if its open though. Quote
Beaver Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Yeh that’s what told me it’s closed (DOC) Quote
Nominal Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Did you not try to go up to get a pic of that bridge at Nats? It's a long walk up there now, I don't know that anyone made it. Quote
