buzzy Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 looking good man! where did you get the flares from? I think I may need some for my Datsun Quote
Taistorm Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Cheers bro, finally starting to take shape. The guard flares are rx3 group c style. There is an outfit in Aus called Fibremaster who produce them but I was able to source some second hand ones.Maybe a bit of a mission getting them to suit the Datsun though as they have a pretty flat bodyline. The rx3 flares are fairly curved where it meets the body so a bit of mission on the 1300 due to that reason. Quote
Jeffs_Emporium Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I always wondered about how to fitting bolt on flares to a 4 door! Wheels looking excellent! Quote
Bistro Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 nice work on the engine bay. like the capping on the rails, makes it look nice and smooth!! Quote
oldrx7 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Looks good so far gonna be a crazy little car when you're finished!!! 1 Quote
Taistorm Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Cheers guys. The boys at Motorelite have done a top job on the little Mazda! Should be pretty clean once it's all sorted bar the exterior as that probably wont get painted til next year some time. Quote
kiwi808 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Kidding. Cool car mate. Keep the updates coming. Quote
oldrx7 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 why didn't you just take it to PAC? surely you would have been better doing so haha Quote
shavenYak Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Could always go for skinnier seats like mr2 to avoid faffing about for clearance? Sw20 ones fit in my alto no worries 1 Quote

Sw20 ones fit in my alto no worries Yeah thought about that or perhaps mx5 seats (think they're a bit smaller) but I really like the Recaro seats and the fabricator is looking after me pretty well so it's not breaking the bank. Also we need to shifter the gearbox tunnel hole a bit further forward anyway. Quote
Bistro Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 I'm an absolute sucker for originality, so I vote a respray in the original red!! 3 Quote
Taistorm Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Haha yeah it's a hard choice man but i'm definitely swaying towards the orange like such.. It just looks so good! 1 Quote
oldrx7 Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Ya that orange is nice! or the earthy green colour the old mazda's came out with is good Quote
Bistro Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Oh yes yes, the factory orange also gets my vote. Either the red or the orange would be a win in my books Quote
kyteler Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 The factory orange for the 1300 is a different orange. I'd call it more a blood orange, uh, orange, if that makes any sense. The Rx2 orange as above is far lighter in colour. Normally I'm not a red car guy (even though I have red cars) but I think the red works better with the black flares, etc. 1 Quote
buzzy Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I'm interested to see what you think of the Speedhut gauges? Thinking about getting them also. Cant wait to see this finished! Quote
