Goat
Get the gearbox crossmember too so you don't have to adapt yours... Unless your crossmember mounts are different to manual ones...
KKtrips
Flexplate bolts normally are not long enough so get new flywheel bolts - High tensile will be fine providing you can get them with low profile heads or the clutch plate may rub on them when the plate wears down.. Beaver
they are different you goat, im not that stupid. I have the the manual xmember to use (the gbox mounts are entirely different as well). There is differing thoughts on what fits what and that some cars have both set of holes etc but I had a good nosey around and measure up the other day and Im pretty sure its not a bolt in affiar. One of the datsun guys did the same swapo (ina sedan but same thign) and yeh he made up some adaptor plates.

I have the flywheel bolts from the engine I took the flywheel and clutch etc from (I got a compelte a12 and box from dadums), so yeh, I have the right ones, but want to konw if I need new ones or can just resuse them. KKtrips
Oh yeah - just reuse them unless they look damaged.
Brock-Lee
New flywheel bolts are cheap from Nissan. /these don't have a habit of biffing flywheels unless you rev them to the moon /9k+ hah.
Brock-Lee
I have part numbers of short shocks etc if you want to build your own coil overs. Iirc n13 pulsars are the shortest factory shock that'll fit in 1200 struts. Unsure if 120y is the same haha.
Beaver
pretty sure 120y stuts are different diameter. could just lop more of the springs and shorten shocks again...but yeh shoudl really shorten strut housing as well and then mayas well roll coilover spec at the same time

RWB
Just to put my opinion in there I also like the sound of more low. Iirc n13 pulsars are the shortest factory shock that'll fit in 1200 struts. Unsure if 120y is the same haha. Also wouldn't have a clue if 120Y shocks are the same as 1200's but if they are then this is the easiest way to go. I have just made new suspension for the 2door using the n13 pulsar shock inserts and also shortening the strut housing for extra low. Beaver
oh cool. im pretty sure the 120y struts are a different diameter but will check.
Beaver
hmmmm intternet research tells me 120y and 1200 struts are same diameter (45mm), not sure why I though otherwise. bonus!
Beaver
For Sam Hope this makes sense. The middle rings are the locator ring thingy in the middle of the flange. Its about 3mm deep.
RWB
Also just to put this out there, if you're planning on lowering it as much as my 1200 i had to shorten my driveshaft to fit properly. Will fit in there but causes vibrations at certain rpm.
Beaver
Wow, that's pretty mad. I had a mk2 cortina lowered about 5" and I had to space the gbox down to stop the driveshaft hitting the floor, but never hears of having to shorten the driveshaft
