Popular Post AllTorque
Yep, this stuff is hard to bend without a bender. Can’t get anything else for a while so persevered with what I had. It’s a start anyway and is keeping me busy.

AllTorque
Cheers Hayhole. I watched a few you tube vids to get some pointers. I found this guy pretty good https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6JPmJ_aicru8XPWr3EvJnw
Spencer
Yeah good work dude. When you can go get a sheet of cold rolled steel in 0.8 or 0.9 whatever that gauge is and you will be amazed that shaping panels just got 100% easier. 1.1mm zinc plated is for horse floats.

AllTorque
Will do, Spencer. I think I will need to for the outer door skin. I will struggle to fold the edge over straight on this stuff. Might need to find someone with a bender too.

tortron
Get a full sheet, less hassle trying to get it Then sell half for max profit
AllTorque
Transporting a full sheet may be an issue.

I got some from Steel and Tube seaview. They only do full sheets and don't have the facilities to cut it, so you need a trailer. It was inexpensive.
Nominal
I had a sheet of 1mm delivered from steel and tube before lockdown. Sheet itself was $65. Could carve a chunk off for you if you like. Last time I bought cut bits it was electrogalv from Kia Ora Sheet Metal on Adelaide Rd. I think they sold that site though. Not sure if this is the same company? https://www.kiaorametalindustriesltd.com/ @grunta or @Steelies might know. There's probably a sheet metal trade shop somewhere in Porirua.
Steelies
I get smaller bits of sheet stuff from kiaora sheet metals in Newtown yo.

AllTorque
I have been a lazy ass the last couple of weeks. Started on the outside of that corner. I got it a bit hot and it warped a little. Going to have a go at shrinking.
tortron
Highly recommended a shrinking disk. Pretty sure you can make one out of an old stainless steel pot lid too

Nominal
Putting some paint on first shouldn't hurt.
