kpr
Id shave those bump stops (cut and sand them smooth - like they arre factory) and run it till you have the cash to go to some BC's Cut spring will be fine in there as long as it is captive for what your currently doing. my 2 cents............................... yeh, not keen to cut anything, Will get the whole set of suspensions soon. After I find out how much the trd costs like that is. you need to cut the bumpstops down, if you want to run it low. nothing worse than hitting bumpstops mid corner, upsetting the car , crashing and dieing etc.. cutting the bottom part off and nicely tidying it up, will gain you suspension travel. but should still stop the diff or anything making contact if you do some jumps. P_Star
Mine were 20/25 bucks each to powdercoat... plus the stripping obviously (assuming they aren't already stripped) GC in Onehungha... youngs powdercoaters iirc
xsspeed
you got weak offset and width wat's, what did you really expect? Re painting them, you should budget $60 per wheel for powdercoating IMO, pricing seems to vary. BUT, painting them isn't going to fix your fitment. Looks better on the wheels you started with IMO
4AG_Addict
Agree with above, why did you change the wheels? Volk wheels looked good
LingLing
yes, I did, Volk wheels came with semi slicks, I want to save them for the track day. and watanabies for daily, for now..
4AG_Addict
You sure about that? They look to be normal Dunlop Direzza DZ101s in your photos. They're just a regular directional tyre, not a semi slick, perfectly suitable for everyday road use.
ryanfels
If its the meshies you want painted (struggling to picture nice looking gold wats), i would powder coat them
SP450andLE
Surely you know how to paint something by now? hurry up and do anything to the thing..maybe you should aim to, like, do one thing to the car per 9 pages of discussion thread, or something. Hah, was thinking the exact same thing. Oh, and Andy, there are previous threads on here about painting rims. And tbh, you don't need to have a garage to work on your car. Fuck, I changed the engine of mine without a garage

SP450andLE
That's totes what I would do. Minus the cover. Haha, awesome, no I am pretty sure I am getting a garage soon, so I could do my suspensions. etc. Jack car up on the drive, take bits off, put bits back on, let car back down. Done? How much of an angle?
LingLing
enough to cause the car weight to be shifted when I jacked up one back wheel up. also the jack is shit to tho, the small ones. not ideal for heavy duty mechanics.
SP450andLE
Weight shifted how? Like... Shifted because one corner was being jacked up? Also, get a hydraulic jack.
LingLing
yes, once car jacked up, the weight shifted, little tiny movement of the car, and it twisted the jacking point a bit.... it is hydraulic jack, not the big ones, the one you buy cheap like 20-80 dollars at repco or supercheap. felixx
hmm when it comes to tools, buy cheap, buy twice..
LingLing
yeh, and I really shouldn't jack it up at anagled grounds, doesn't matter what jacks you use. the cheap jack actually works okish at the flat places, just doesn't go high tho.
