Seedy Al
Sooo........ have probabaly had this for about 2 months, came up on trade me and was local so snapped it up, Love the shape, really want a 50's starliner but they are hard to find and people kinda want decent coin for them, so will wait till i get some more cash to buy one. Its a 1960ish Munro, made in Otrahonga. Anyway, that plan. Its a bit of a DIY project as you can see, but its pretty much all there. has a new awning and a few other cool bits and bobs. So yes, AIRBAGS are on the cards. Have two bags I bought off Uterus when I first moved to napier. So once the corona is done I will be taking the body off the chassis, Which is going to be a cunt as all the bolts are totally fucked so will have to be cut. And at this point, am still trying to come up with ideas on how to make the draw bar work with the bags. Want to do it so I can play with hight while driving, and want it laying flat. So I'm open to suggestions on what people think I should do there. Anyway pics. will make up more story as I start getting into it more Word to your face

CaMpylobacter
lawd. drawbar will be a bit of a task, won't it? cantilevers running off axles to let drawbar go upwad into body to keep 'van body level?
Seedy Al
was thinking a rod system that ran off the axle, which adjusted againts the pivot. however I'm not conivince the caravan it self is heavy enough to lift its own weight, if ya'll get what i mean, Will work on some sweet MS paint diagrams tomorrow haha

Seedy Al
not sure as of yet how far I ultramitly want to go with it. going to re do the inside, Floor is tounge and groove so might polish that up, or fit black / white vynil dwn for some retroness. Something like this but a little bit more 60's retro maybe
Borgweiser
I like this a lot. Why not just interconnect the bags to the tow vehicle and sack as one? profit
My name is Russell
Dam you CD!

Vintage Grumble
PTO on wags to power carovan? I do like the idea of the van hooking into the cars air supply, that would be the bewbs.

KKtrips
Mount the bags from each corner of the body to the chassis and drop body over frame for max slam??
Spencer
^ does not compute KK
Vintage Grumble
Would a carovan this tiny even need bags? With such a short wheel base couldnt you just slam the crap out of it and it would be all G?
Ned
i like KKs idea TBH... Or just have it at max slam err day and leave it
ryanfels
But the floor is mounted onto the chassis so the chassis would end up inside the caravan once max slam is activated
Borgweiser
More importantly, why is the soarer sitting out in the grass growing weeeds??
Borgweiser
I vote IRS conversion for the axle, so can run negative camber hellaflush stance bandwagon city shuttle spec caravan. Word
Seedy Al
I had thought of that there KK. But 4x bags and random channel job is a bit random, plus for the better part would have apretty wobbly base. And where is the fun in a slammed trailer if its not laying frame / geting caught on everything. Simple requirements. it needs to lay frame, and be able to make its way in Vingar hill haha
