CXGPWR
just smash the manual gb behind the 3a and keep burning around in it while you build an engine I like your thinking, and makes alot of sense! But so many opinions on 4a vs 7a I think for the meantime ill mash manual behind 3a and build something

slacker.cam
I'm gunna vote 4A too. Although I've never driven a 7A car before it just seems kinda wrong. Those small flywheel bolts freak me out. If you need a hand with anything let me know man. I'm keen to come and check out your cars at some point.

NicT
I say throw ur t50 in there now and go do some skids with the 3a while you build up your 4a. Enjoy the manual life of a 3a (and honestly they are still a damn hoot) Then when you get the 20kw+ kick in power when you throw the 4a in there you will have a blast. Then LSD and your life will be complete (+ hot jap hoochies hanging off your wing mirrors calling you takumi) Also your car looks remarkably similar to my lisse spec i used to have- Where abouts in auckland are you? Could be keen for a look see, lend a hand
KKtrips
just smash the manual gb behind the 3a and keep burning around in it while you build an engine This - otherwise it'll be sitting doing nothing for no good reason...

slacker.cam
Right, well I managed to find the box with my crossmembers in it and assuming the internet is telling the truth today then one of them is a proper AE86 T50 one. If I'm free tomorrow night I'll drop you a txt and see if you're around.

Vintage Grumble
Why was I not informed this thread was going on?
Seedy Al
yeah the 4a vs 7a is a bit of a brain conflict. I am still a fan of the 7a, the torque is awesome, However its the others bits you need to do to make it worth it. 4age pistons mean you need to machine down the gudgins 2mm in diamter to 18mm i'm pretty sure. (piss easy) After market cam gears to adjust timing correctly. And should really have an aftermarket ecu to run it all nicely. Lol just noted you already have a G4
slacker.cam
I may have a clutch fork. I'll have a quick look before work tomorrow. It's a big maybe though but I seem to recall one floating about the place.

Clutch lines look wacky, what are they made from? Not what I pictured when you wrote flexible lines
