Its been a while for me, but Im currently living in Melbourne. Nothing too hectic in the car scene, a 1986 Toyota Crown (cruiser), and a 2005 FPV F6 Typhoon(The fast one) Be keen to catch up with others. I get out and about quite often

I am registering interest

Put this on the bus hoist at out local tranzit depo. Not much to do for re compliance, just a small patch approx 6 inches of chassis heave rust which will come out with a hammer. One front wheel bearing, and a full set of brake shoes all round. All in all bugger all to do to get it back on the system and on the road! The tranzit guy was really surprised at the underside being so tidy, as was I! So just a whole lotta money to get the brakes re-lined and we should be right I reckon!

So ripped the master cylinder apart, found all seals buggered. Found two s/hand cylinders off a truck at a wreckers. Stripped them, got all the bits i needed and re-assembled my orignal one. Bled it all up and now have rear brakes. Pics
-
Not at the moment but will have one fitted by the end of the build. Progress update though, found the rear brakes were not operating. Some wise guy before i got the bus filled the brake resivour with good ol ATF. So all the seals in the rear brake air hydraulic master cylinder are swollen and not working as they should. So having to price some parts tomorrow. Will get some pics in the morning.

Yeah will keep the photos coming, Unfortunatly dead rego but shouldnt be too much work to get on the road as all the mechanicals are in good order, just a little rust around the edges. Was too cheap to pass up so im not going to complain for 3k

So ended up buying a old coach that has done 804,000km, still runs like a gem with a re powered cummins 6bt and alison 4speed automatic. Plans are to stip it, clean and repair leaks, then build it into a camper coach. Should be interesting...

2007 HiAce dpf / Diesel Particulate Filter delete?
CXGPWR replied to eke_zetec_RWD's topic in Tech Talk
As far as i know these do run a regeneration cycle/late injection to burn out the DPF. Usually only on open road trips, engine up to temp, sustained at over 2000rpm for about 20-30 mins or so, if the DPF light is on then it will need to be plugged into a scan tool and a stationary workshop burn off procedure would be required If the light is just flashing then open road driving should burn it out. Let me know if you want me to look at it jase. -
I had a 3au auto that i converted to Manuel t50 box, had to change the starter as the snout was longer on the auto. i used a 4age starter. I still have the 3au auto starter if you need one, still was going beautiful before i changed the box

I had to modify it quite a bit to make it work but in the end it gave me a total of approx 20-25mm of travel, the piston cylinder diameter is 32.5mm id, 42.4mm od the id of the sleeve was 30.3mm You most likely already have this information now!
