ThePog
lol you need to fuck off hipster boy. There is a whole lot of stuff to do yet; brakes, bar tape, different cranks, coating the frame, building a new stem, a new shifter for the hub etc etc. It will never end. ThePog
Quite a bit more cleanup to do before applying the protective coating, but I am going to ride it to work tomorrow before the big stripdown. Just went out for a decent ride on it and did a few bunny hops to make sure it is strong enough - sweet as. It feels super sweet to ride, nice and rigid, totally stable - no hands is easy as pie. In short, totally motherfucking stoked.

flyingbrick
Very cool edit. had a look at the blog. your craftsmanship never fails to impress. How do these things ride off road with no springs?
ThePog
Not too bad really, the big tyres act like suspension. I have been bombing the port hills on it and there is a limit to the drop offs and jumps you can do comfortably (although a lot of this is my tiny balls making me scared), and it still gets thrown around by big roots and washboards etc, but most things it deals with pretty well. There is only 7-8 PSI in the tyres so they are pretty forgiving.. It is fucking good fun though, everybody wants to stop and talk about it.
