avengertiger Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 thats noice i like that suppose these are fairly unobtainable normally? i also like the ones with the indicator in the bonnets whatever model they are especially wagons. good luck with her health to enjoy Quote
kirk28 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 whoa...keep original man..that's wicked. Question; is the speedo in miles or in Km/h? I'm thinking it may be a JDM privately imported? as it seems a whole lot more lush spec than ordinary MS45's found in Oz..if it's in Km/h then will be JDM. The thing in the boot is the rear air conditioning (a/c -- spells JDM to me, and Esp rear a/c) Thats what the vents are for on the rear parcel shelf..Originally would have had a flap on the unit in the boot that had a small fridge in it.. Similar to this 1972 JDM http://jalopnik.com/393579/curtains-and ... per-saloon This barn find reminds me of: http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=66524 Keep original, except for the four drum, I'd do a disc conversion, join toymods ozzie board if not already a member -- tons of info on these MS45's. mikuni Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Camel, the Toyopet rear end is the one I was thinking of when I was saying the sedans have awesome tail lights. p.s. do this. Quote
Camel Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 yea that one is my inspiration tbh. Tis so sweet, those round tail lights rule my face clean off, as does the rear venetians. Scored a visor for it yesterday and have euron8s old racks off his lada which i plan to cut down to fit, then makita the springs and let the good times roll Quote
Sparkle Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Is that white one in NZ? plate looks nzish. Quote
Camel Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 na mate hes in aussie somewhere, has got two of them the lucky bastard. That one is the 4 cylinder version, hes had airbags put in too which id be keen to get some photos of Quote
Sparkle Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 That's good, otherwise you'd have to battle him. Crown battle. Can you put that sweet rear panel on or is it basically a different rear end? Quote
Camel Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 probly could be done but would have to stitch rear panel in too/hack it up Quote
Spencer Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Yea the sweet rear end only comes on the first gen 4cyl R powered beasts, they have a shorter nose than the 6 cly versions like camels. Makes them awesome but slow & pretty useless for engine conversions Quote
KKtrips Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Hogans Ghost!! You better call the Vet QUICK, cos DAM son you are illin and that is one sick ryde my Cameloneous friend.. Much love and I bags shotgun for cruisin at Nats. Quote
mikuni Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Lookin so sweet. I like that you started with 2 coils. Are the springs similar to later model Crowns? Shouldn't be too hard to find a set if so. How is the rear brake rebuild coming along? Quote
Leebo3 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 ZOMG x 7. You going to be sweet for Kumeu? Tried that rack on it? I am keen to boost up BDO weekend and grab that other one in time for WN if thats sweet/talk business next weekend/chuck it on the 5I Quote
