glen
Cool, will be interesting how many more horsepowers can be unleashed with the PI injection gear.

Snoozin
No problemo... I'll have to send flywheel, release bearing carrier and spigot bearing down in a couple of weeks since I doubt I'll have a chance to drop the engine out before the weekend. You want the clutch? I have no idea what it's like though.
Beaver
yeh chuck it in if its not a hassle. depending on how things go, might even be able to use hawkes boes as a courier service etc, save shipping

Snoozin
Had me concerned just then. Whew. A good opportunity to park both Trumps nose to nose then do opposing burnouts.

mixmasterlex
So weak point of the injection gear was the fuel pump right? I'm guessing there is modern solution to that issue?
Snoozin
As long as the pumps are in good condition they apparently don't give problems... otherwise the problems consist of spindle wear in the throttles which makes synchronising them tricky, and seals in the metering unit which have aged and become shit. I'll be getting the pump checked out prior to the swap. It's kind of daunting stuff but not really...? If that makes any sense at all. Beaver
talking to Joe/flange they arnt as shit/complex as people make them out to be, but like you said, they just need to be in decent condition. apparently the fuel pump is basically a wiper motor or something crazy....so it was perhaps not the most suitable piece of kit for the job. Snoozin
The fuel pump is hilariously huge!!! This I do know.
xsspeed
Good to see you got sorted with trailer and tow vehicle, apologies again re pulling the pin on the tow car- I ended up with a tyre coming off the bead on the coon on saturday anyway, and spent the morning wrangling sheep (lambs), falling over and wasting my knees on rocks. Damage to the silver one looks superficial from the outside - seems strange that seams are split? as I imagine it can't have been too much of a collision? Snoozin
I reckon it could be repaired... but at a cost exceeding the vehicles value. It's not silver it's horrible baby blue!!!
xsspeed
Lol, I'll blame colourblindness on that one
J-Calico
were things like the polished trims and guards salvagable/worth taking?
Beaver
as requested Its about 5 3/4 coils lol. it pretty much sits on bumps up front. still surprisingy drivable and comforatble though, you wouldnt guess it.
Snoozin
were things like the polished trims and guards salvagable/worth taking? Nah. Trims are dime a dozen, and the guards are welded on/I just cbf. If mine got crashed badly enough to warrant a new gaurd it'd go to Trump heaven along with the blue car... so cheap it's not worth fixing. Beaver - primo, cheers! I'll look at sorting mine this week! Snoozin
I saw that and was all "oooh" then looked closer and was more like "awww" since they're facelift bumpers with the holes in for the rub strips. Thankfully I got a good rear bumper off the wreck!
