thegreatestben
I had one of those on the cressida. Only paid $50 so theres no way i'm paying that much, especially since it sounds like a gay man farting.

thegreatestben
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78_dwvvRPB8 Bit meh. 10 psi or so might sound different to 20 though
Raizer
Yeah they sound way different with more boost, I was running 21psi through it with the spring done fairly tight and it sounded sweet! Sounded pretty much the same running 15psi with a single turbo as well. kinda hard to pick over all the noise lol
Honda Ass Dragger
If you get a blitz one get the filter kit so you can shut it up, how about looking for a stock st205 one, most rally cars still run the factory ones and they seem to hold boost well enough I love your approach trying to keep it all as stealth as possible
thegreatestben
I have an SW20 one but they are abit obese. Well constructed, metal body. I just don't know if they are capable of holding twice the pressure they were originally designed to run.

thegreatestben
Pretty sure this one is the same as the JZ one I had ages ago. Maybe different in/outs but actual unit is definatly the same. Sounded nice before I pulled it off. Anyone buying anything from j-pan any time soon? kyteler
Why do you need someone else to be buying something? That'll be relatively cheap to post, small package etc, get it shipped via EMS. Fire Ewan an e-mail about it.
Ke36
get a late model (7,8,9) evo bov, i believe they are metal as opposed tot eh earlier plastic ones they can handle over 20psi
forced
They work better reversed, otherwise they act as a safety valve. Steve
Jase
i'm a fair noob on turbo hardware, need an external gate for a turbo on a 5.3, what size ? brand etc? not big boost 8-12psi max. also bov just after any snippets that could help, adjustability etc availibility of 8ps1 springs etc
Testament
depends on the exhaust gas flow and how much you need to bypass if you want to get all technical. Single turbo or twin? If single I would think 45mm minimum. I suggest searching on www.theturboforums.com as thats full of turbo mustangs/chevs etc. which will be most similar to what you are trying to acheive. But as far as brands/support goes stick to the known ones i would say, tial/trust/hks/sard/turbonetics/garrett. Tial usually seem to be best value and have the most support, but let google help you/see if you can buy that shit from summitracing
SHGWAG
I run a single 48mm TIAL external on the FD. Has held up fine so far, running 12 psi fine with no creep or spiking. I'm guessing for a 5.3 litre you'd want something much larger? How big is your turbo? 60mm maybe? or twin 48mms?
Testament
it depends how much exhaust gas you need to bypass to control the boost, which depends on engine mass flowrate (power basically) and intake and exhaust pressure levels. That said having a larger wastegate than neccesary is better than smaller.
