yeah it does seem like it would be a heavy car, the bonnet is heavy enough to open! lol

I'm not after amazing, I am happy with how it pulls from about 3krpm but a little bit more below that would be mint.

Definitely dont change the air intake, trust me.

A motor of that size in a car that heavy, just not much you can do in the way of low end power.

Clean the airflow meter (carefully) and change the filters, maybe spark plugs.

Wouldnt do much more than that.

I found my beams motor to be quite torquey all things considered, but that was in a much lighter car I guess.

I'm keen on getting a bit more low down torque from a totally stock Altezza beams engine, is there any cheap ways of doing it?

Would a decent (non pod lol) air filter and maybe ditching the cat help much?

Solution = Pinto Conversion

put in a puck clutch so you are compelled to rev to 4grand to pull away from the lights (....sideways)

ditching cat want help i dont think due to you wanting low down torque , so the flow through the cat at those rpms isnt that much of a loss.

i like the 1jz + supercharger idea ..
