Are they easier to use than just using verniers? Gaz
treggo
Not sure who makes them, I got mine in a kit with my tap and dies. they are easy to use, accurate as and pretty useful tools.

Seedy Al
closest to withworh is random metric sizes.
Unclejake
Oh, can they go into holes with thread or into the nut also to tell thread like that? Yes - but only the pitch of the thread and not the diameter. I have a set if you need (naturally)
Unclejake
yeah but seriously, its whitworth FYI - Mk1 Cortina driveshaft bolts are UNF. Obviously I know nothing about Escorts.
KKtrips
yeah but seriously, its whitworth FYI - Mk1 Cortina driveshaft bolts are UNF. Obviously I know nothing about Escorts. why don't you replace with whatever bolts fit - whether it be metric or imperial - as long as you replace all 4 nuts and bolts it should be a piece of cake.. 63swb
I would replace with a metric or whatever but the where the driveshaft bolts onto the diff is threaded and no nuts are used by the looks of it? feels as though they could work themselves out
Hemi
im gonna assume you dont have the bolts lol , get some thread guages its really the only way specially since you dont have nuts.
Testament
thanks for the help... could be tricky finding whitworth bolts Nah it's easy enough to get whitworth stuff, any good engineering shop should be able to source some from a bolt shop. or just goto the bolt shop e.g. the boltholder in matamata
