Friday 10/3/23, we leave hanmer springs for a massive day of grueling small bike adventure riding.  Finishing in Nelson where we stop for the night.

 

Day two,

Will be a slightly less grueling day of hard core small bike adventure riding. Finishing in Blenheim. 

 

Day three will be leaving Blenheim, and finishing back in Hanmer springs. 

There will be a BBQ lunch and light refreshment each day included in the entry fee.  $60 entry fee plus rainbow road toll of $30

Faaaaaarrrrrk! That’s some big riding. I can already see issues with out last Portage though. That road is fucked, and even more so after last weeks weather.

Correct, you'll also spot that that's the biggest day, and that there's flexibility built into the route. Depending on road conditions will dictate exactly how that pans out on the next 5 months.

Also worth noting that Day 2's route will be largely dependent on the road conditions.

Saw a thing somewhere on line today saying the road to French pass, and kenepuru rd are fubar'd atm.

If they are irreparable/only open to residents by that stage, we also have reverse Maungatapu (from Maitai to Pelorus), -> Queen Charlotte Drive up our sleeves too.
